7 Things to Say to a Boss Who Has Unrealistic Expectations for You (That Wont Sabotage Your Career) So, your babo is asking a lot of you and youre bedrngnislage quite sure how to tell them that youve already got a laundry list of assignments or youre supposed to be on vacation, and their expectations are simply unrealistic. Maybe your boss has never done your job so they dont realize how much time it actually takes to do. Or maybe youre working for several different managers, and one doesnt realize that the other has given you a hefty assignment due on the same day. Perhaps your boss just has a lot on their plate and theyve lost sight of exactly how much theyre asking of you.Regardless of why youre on different pages or even different planets setting realistic expectations can make your working relationship with your boss a more harmonious one, and they can make you a more productive employee.But how do you tell your boss that you need to do things differently without making it see m like youre either lazy or just not cut out for the job?First, really, carefully think about the level of effort being asked of you is it really too much or it is just a challenge?
